Hello ladies!
I am very sad to see that Wive's Club ended as of December, but I am excited to try something new. For me, the concept of Wive's Club was for all of us to spend time with each other, make friends, have support for one another, enjoy the opportunity to get out of the house, and so on. Well...I don't want to see that end, but I don't think it has to.
Here is my idea and I am looking for HONEST feedback. Please tell me how you feel without worrying about hurting my feelings. The best result is what works for all of us as a group. That cannot happen without your honest opinion.
I would like to plan a "Girls' Night Out" each month with the following ideas in mind:
- The date is pre-determined every month (e.g., the first Friday night of every month)
- Each wife has the opportunity to plan the activity so we can experience the interests of the whole group
- Everyone is invited/included in every activity and she can choose whether or not she would like to come
- Everyone pays their own way
- We continue to have fun with each other
Please tell me what you think. What about starting in January? A new year....

i comletely agree 100%!! so how about i take next month. just an idea if someone else wants to take it this time let me know im ok with that i just want to get it goin.

Thanks Angie!!! I think that's so fabulous!!! What does everyone think about setting the activity on the first Friday of every month for G.N.O.? Please leave a response if this time works so we can get this figured out? Also, how about activities working by birthdate? So the person with the birthdate after Angie's is responsible for Feb.'s acitivity? We can make a list so everyone knows. POST YOUR COMMENTS ASAP so Angie can have plenty of time to make her plans!!!
I also Luvvvvvv the Un-Birthday idea Nicole! How creative are you?!! That way we can all celebrate together. For some reason I am thinking the guys usually get off earlier on Saturday nights...would that day work better? Just wonderin'!

I love your Idea. The first Friday of the month sounds great to me, and to have them go in order of Birthdays is a great Idea. Lets get all of these ideas set in stone! This will be fun!
I am thinking that Saturday nights for GNO might work better. The guys get home earlier and I don't get home from work until 6:30 of Friday nights. Either way is fine with me though. Just a suggestion.
Would Saturdays work any better for anyone else? The guys usually get home earlier. I also have to work on Fridays and don't get home until about 6:30. But, I can make either one work. Just a suggestion.

how about january 10th for the first GNO. i have something in mind that i think will be really fun. hope everyone can make it. let me know if that day is good for everyone. oh and thank you for those who got me a gift for my bday it was very thoughtful. love ya

Let's plan on the first Saturday of every month as our activity day. Angie, could you do the activity on the 3rd rather than the 10th? Or should we do the activities on the second Saturday of every month?
well the reason i said the 10th next month is because the 3rd is so close to new years but thats ok with me if everyone would rather do it the 3rd.
That makes sense. I have a hard time remembering my work's monthly board meeting (it's always on the third Wednesday of the month), which is why I said the first or last Saturday. It's just easier for some of us with memory loss to remember. But it does make sense to move it to the 10th because the 3rd is so close to New Year's. Would anyone object to having the activity continually on the first Saturday of the month? It is really just to help me remember.
thats fine with me. so for the month of january the activity will be on Sat the 10th. i will post what we are going to do. does everyone look at the blog or do i need to email it to people?
I always look at the blog, but, based on the comments, I don't know if everybody does. I do have everyone's e-mail in my contact list. I think Morgan does as well. So if you post it, then one of us can e-mail everyone to check the blog. Sound okay?
And, if you want to come over earlier on Thursday, I am home after 4 pm. So, anytime after that is fine!!!
I am game for the 10th and the first Saturday of each month works GREAT for me! I am excited for Angies activity! Ang, me and nicole will make sure everyone gets emailed, we should also give everyone each others email address. I am very excited to get this going!! And I am excited for Thursday! Hey girls! I agree with having Januarys event on the 10th but after that the 1st saturday is definitely easier to remember! I am looking forward to seeing you girls tonight:-)
