Hey girls it time for the first Girls Night Out of 2009!!! And we are going ice skating.

  • When- Jan 10th 6-8 pm ( be there at 5:45 to get our skates before the session starts)
  • Where- The weber ice sheet in the same parking lot of the Dee Event Center
  • Cost- $6.00
  • Call Angie with any questions and i hope to see you all there!

*This activity is not sponsored by Avis, this is the beginging of our GIRLS NIGHT OUT. We wanted to keep the activities going so we could still spend time with each other, make lasting friendships, have support for one another, enjoy the opportunity to get out of the house, and so on. This is a come if you can make it and the costs of activities will be paid on your own. We have decided that the activities will always be on the 1st Saturday of every month. This activity is on the 2nd Saturday so that it does not interfere with anyone who may be out of town over New Years. We are assigning each month to a different spouse. That still needs to be worked out, we will keep you posted! Thanks Angie for getting this planned!

The New Wive's Club or Girls' Night Out

Hello ladies!

I am very sad to see that Wive's Club ended as of December, but I am excited to try something new. For me, the concept of Wive's Club was for all of us to spend time with each other, make friends, have support for one another, enjoy the opportunity to get out of the house, and so on. Well...I don't want to see that end, but I don't think it has to.

Here is my idea and I am looking for HONEST feedback. Please tell me how you feel without worrying about hurting my feelings. The best result is what works for all of us as a group. That cannot happen without your honest opinion.

I would like to plan a "Girls' Night Out" each month with the following ideas in mind:

  • The date is pre-determined every month (e.g., the first Friday night of every month)
  • Each wife has the opportunity to plan the activity so we can experience the interests of the whole group
  • Everyone is invited/included in every activity and she can choose whether or not she would like to come
  • Everyone pays their own way
  • We continue to have fun with each other

Please tell me what you think. What about starting in January? A new year....

Birthdays...What Do We Do?

Does anyone have suggestions for how we can handle birthdays as a group so that...

  • Everyone is recognized on their birthday
  • No one is left out or feels like they are not a part of the group
  • It is not a financial burden or obligation for people to recognize birthdays
  • Whatever is done is fun and appreciated by the birthday person

What does everyone think? How can we do this together? Post your comments and let's figure out how to do this!!!
