Tony's Pizza Anyone??

Chandra is selling Tony's pizza (from the yummy little pizza parlor in Ogden) to raise money for her drill team nationals. All of the money that she raises for selling pizzas goes directly to her individually.

Pizzas are $7.50 and the toppings are:
Mushroom
Ham
The Works
Green pepper
Green olives
Pepperoni

Money and orders are due by Monday, the 14th and the pizzas will be ready for pick-up on the 16th. We can deliver them straight to you!!

Any Little Girls (or Boys) Out There That LOVE to Dance??????

Chandra is looking for girls (ages 3 to junior high) that like to dance to sign up for Future Cardinelles.
The girls (or boys - Cardinelle Security) will go to dance clinics beginning Tuesday, August 18th (6-7pm) through Thursday, August 20 (5:30-7pm) to learn a dance to perform at the Northridge football game halftime show on Friday, August 21st. The cost is $25 for girls (each additional sibling is $20) and that includes treats, dance classes and a t-shirt. The cost for boys is $20, which also includes a t-shirt. Discount football tickets are available for the kids families for the game on Friday night. It should be a lot of fun for everyone! If you are interested or now ANYONE who might be interested, please let me know. The deadline to sign up is Tuesday night, August 11th. Hey girls! I want to say a big thanks to all of you who attended in support of wives club. It is really important to remember that we are all in the same situation with our husband's working like they do and that sometimes it is just reassuring to know that we are all there to support eachother, vent our frustrations, and listen. So thanks girls!

The Pole Party was a huge success and although we missed some of you, it was so great to learn some new tricks and show our skills...or in my case-embarrass myself in front of my friends! But hey, that's what friends are for-they laugh with you, right?! Anyhoo, I truly value our friendships and I am looking forward to a year filled with many more GNO (Girls Night Outs)!!

Hey everyone...I am posting this to the blog, because it is the easiest way for me to reach the whole group. I have several rebate forms for a $7.50 rebate when you purchase $30 worth of:

Tostitios chips and/or dips and/or soda
Deli items
Condiments
Ice
Paper plates or plastic cups

The amount of money doesn't seem like much, but I submitted several forms to different addresses for a different rebate, and I have about $75 in free money. Because many people might be buying a lot of these items for a SuperBowl Party, now is a great time to do this. Just save your receipts and let me know when you need a form.

February's Wives Club!

Hello Ladies!

So how excited is everyone for our first Wives Club event on our own?! I want to thank Angie for volunteering to host this month-it is going to be so much fun! For those of you who do not know, I won a FREE POLE PARTY from Adult Dance and Fitness for 10 people and I would like to use that opportunity to host February's Wives Club!
The party will be held February 7 at 8:00pm at Adult Dance & Fitness located at 3049 Harrison Boulevard. Since it is free, I am asking that everyone bring $5 for a tip for their time and please R.S.V.P to me as space is limited.
For any of you who are hesitant to try this class...JUST DO IT! I have been with many people who were shy or thought it was something vulgar, but it's not I promise! It is a fun way to hang out with your girlfriends and get in a little workout as well. The dress is shorts, no lotions or oils, and bare feet.

We wanted to keep the activities going so we could still spend time with each other, make lasting friendships, have support for one another, enjoy the opportunity to get out of the house, and so on. This is a come if you can make it and the costs of activities will be paid on your own. We have decided that the activities will always be on the 1st Saturday of every month. This activity is on the 2nd Saturday so that it does not interfere with anyone who may be out of town over New Years. We are assigning each month to a different spouse. The New Wive's Club or Girls' Night Out

Hello ladies!

I am very sad to see that Wive's Club ended as of December, but I am excited to try something new. For me, the concept of Wive's Club was for all of us to spend time with each other, make friends, have support for one another, enjoy the opportunity to get out of the house, and so on. Well...I don't want to see that end, but I don't think it has to.

Here is my idea and I am looking for HONEST feedback. Please tell me how you feel without worrying about hurting my feelings. The best result is what works for all of us as a group. That cannot happen without your honest opinion.

I would like to plan a "Girls' Night Out" each month with the following ideas in mind:

The date is pre-determined every month (e.g., the first Friday night of every month)
Each wife has the opportunity to plan the activity so we can experience the interests of the whole group
Everyone is invited/included in every activity and she can choose whether or not she would like to come
Everyone pays their own way
We continue to have fun with each other

Please tell me what you think. What about starting in January? A new year....

November/December Spouse Club

Hey all you spouses! Pretty much I am a slacker and NOVEMBER slipped away from me before I knew it! We will be havng one last activity. It will be December 6th. We will be seeing the movie Four Christmases. Plan on a show time between 8:00 and 9:00 they do not have the show times up for December 6th yet. But the ones showing are an 8:20 and a 9:00. Don't Quit Your Day Jobs

It is just when you want your husband (okay, in my case boyfriend-sounds junior highish - or partner - brings its own ideas to the minds of people - or significant other - pretty impersonal to me - so we just go with that guy I live with) to find a new day job so he can be home a little more often that you see a video like this. Then, you can only come to the stark realization, that they really shouldn't quit their day job. At least if they do, American Idol is definitely not the answer. :)

Just a note from the winning team...it was hard work, but someone had to kick butt. Here's a little picture walk of our scavenger hunt. Avis' Annual Halloween Party was a success! We enjoyed a lovely soup and bread bowl dinner, after which we seperated into teams and went on a Scavenger Hunt around Ogden. It was tons of fun getting various "Ogdenites" to help us with our tasks while in full costumes! We all came back to "Home Base" and announced the winners for the hunt. A big congrats to Greg & Angie for best couple costume-AYYYYREEEEBA:-) And also to Amber for struttin' her stuff in the best female costume! It was all great fun and we are happy to be a part of such a wonderful family. Love you all...Deanna.

This month we combined forces and held a pumpkin carve at Avis for a family activity! The kids really enjoyed themselves and got to take their keepsakes home to display!

Also, just a reminder to R.S.V.P for the Halloween party this Saturday! We have many adventures planned for our "Adults Only" extravaganza and we can hardly wait to get started. Please remember to wear a costume (YES-it IS an entry requirement!), a positive attitude, about $5 cash, and a digital camera. Did I mention come ready to PaRtY?! See you there!!

For this months activity we will be going to the Tavernacle in Salt Lake City and watching there Piano Duel Show!

Our 'All-Request' Dueling Piano shows are known all over the country, and we pride ourselves on a professional bar and wait staff. The Tavernacle is a pleasant, completely NON-SMOKING night club. We're proud of that. Come see a show for yourself, but make reservations early - we sell out most every weekend."

It sounds like it will be a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing you all there! We have to be there by 8:30pm for our table that is reserved for us. I am emailing this to everybody now so there will be enough time for those that may need to find a babysitter.

Wednesday Nights at Rick and Nikki's

Hi everyone...welcome to our house! Every Wednesday night at our house we have an Avis party, but, trust me, all the people who come are not just Avis employees. It's turned into a bigger event than when it first started several years ago. Some people even bring their kids--we're starting them off early in the party mode. We play Wii, karaoke, and play games. For some people, Wednesday night is a serious habit, others are newcomers to the party. We have a great time spending time with one another, relaxing in the middle of a long work week, and catching up on the "news." Check out the pictures and videos from some of our favorite nights. Maybe one Wednesday night, we will see you there!

This month for the spouse club activity we will be going to the Ogden Pizzaria for dinner and then to the Washington Terrace Playhouse for their comedy improv show. We will meet for dinner at the Pizzaria at 8:45pm and then be up to the Playhouse around 10:00pm. We had a GREAT turn out last month and we would love to have everyone there again this month!
